Age limit:- If the candidate is not in the service of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, his age on 03-12-2018 is
- Between 18 to 38 years for open
- Between 18 to 43 years for Backward
- According to the government guidelines, maximum 18 to 45 years for handicapped
- If already in the service of Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation, there is no maximum age limit for the candidates.

- Sub Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical):- Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile / Electronics / Production / Electronics and Power Engineering) OR Associate Membership Examination Part-A and B Pass OR Equivalent
- Sub Engineer (Architect):- CIVIL Degree OR Associate Member of Royal Institute of British architect, Diploma in Architecture (Diploma) from Institute of Baroda / Maharashtra Government’s Technical Education Board. OR Equivalent
Pay Scale for MCGM Recruitment 2018:
Rs 9,300 / - to 34,800 / - grade pay Rs 4,600 / - plus allowable allowances
