• Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC):- Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum ticket clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial  cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Commercial Apprentice, Station Master etc
• Para Medical Staff:- Staff Nurse, Health & Malaria Inspector, Pharmacist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant, Lab Superintendent, etc.
• Ministerial and Isolated Categories:- Stenographer, Chief Law Assistant, Junior Translator (Hindi), etc.
• Level-1 Posts:- Track Maintainer Grade IV (Trackman), Gateman, Pointsman, Helpers in various Departments (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and S&T departments), Porter etc.

Age Limit:- Minimum age limit is 18 years & Maximum age limit is 33 years. (SC/ST+5, OBC+3 years relaxation)
